At New England Pipe Restoration, we make it a point to stay up-to-date on the latest and most innovative technology in the pipe lining industry. Our company is built on providing our customers with lasting pipe repair services that they can trust in. In order to further our business goals, we are proud to announce that we have partnered with Formadrain, a leading manufacturer of trenchless technology focusing on lateral lining, spot repair, and lateral to main connection systems.
Why We Choose Formadrain
Formadrain focuses on providing contractors with high-quality equipment and materials. Formadrain’s fiberglass-based lining system allows us to tackle some very challenging restorations that more common, inversion or spin coating techniques could not overcome. The New England Pipe Restoration team chose to partner with Formadrain for many reasons including the following:
Eco-friendly: Formadrain is a manufacturer that cares deeply about the environment and does not use any harmful ingredients in their products. Their low VOC epoxy resin does not create harsh smells or health concerns in the area where the products are used. They work within environmental plumbing codes to make sure the work being done with their equipment and products does not damage the ecosystem surrounding the pipes in any way.
Versatility: Formadrain’s durapox resin allows New England Pipe Restoration to expand their reach in the pipe lining industry. It is now possible to line forced main, steam condensate and high-pressure pipes. With their LMC system, we can now line lateral to main wye and tee fittings.
Durability: Formadrain’s materials and equipment make is possible to create a strong, durable pipe within your existing pipe without the need for digging. This keeps the land around your property strong and your pipes even stronger.
Our First High-Pressure Liner Installation
With a stellar track record with many Colleges and Universities around Boston, Harvard University trusted New England Pipe Restoration to solve a challenging leak in a pressurized pipe that traditional inversion could not handle. The team at New England Pipe Restoration worked very closely with Formadrain to come up with a solution that circumvented a very costly and impractical traditional dig and replace fix.
Our first project with Formadrain system involved repairing a four-inch ductile iron pressure pipe. Having a pipe run under a 4 -ane thruway in a busy New England metropolis, did not make traditional excavation a practical solution to the university’s pipe problems. Working from two access points, one on each end of the damaged pipeline, a fiberglass and durapox liner was inserted into the pipe and cured with high-pressure, superheated steam. With our wealth of knowledge as a pipe restoration company and Formadrain’s steam-cured PIP system of pipe rehabilitation, we completed the job within five hours.
